The storage vessel can be crafted using {{ll|clay forming}} out of any type of {{ll|clay}}. Once formed, the raw storage vessel must be fired in a {{ll|pit kiln}}. Uniquely, raw storage vessels require eight pieces of {{ll|firewood}} or {{ll|peat}} to fire, as opposed to the four for other items in a pit kiln. Once fired, it may be placed on the ground as with any other storage container and accessed using right-click.

Storage vessels have 12 slots that can be filled by any item. They decrease the spoilage rates for grains, fruits and vegetables inside them. They further benefit from a {{ll|cellar}}, so by using both a cellar and storage vessels, players can greatly extend the freshness of foodstuffs.

Due to the relative abundance of clay, and their relatively large capacity, storage vessels are useful in the early game as all-purpose storage. Later on, they remain useful due to their ability to help preserve food.
There is no functionnal usage for the strewn straw. This block is essentialy designed for thematic building purpose, for example, animal pens. It cannot be chiseled (with the default game settings).

Only three soil types can be used to craft strewn straw :

  • Very low fertility soil (barren soil)
  • Low fertility soil
  • Medium fertility soil

Those three soil types can be mixed in the grid, no need to use the same kind of soil on the three soil slots.

Usage

There is no functionnal usage for the strewn straw. This block is essentialy designed for thematic building purpose, for example, animal pens. It cannot be chiseled (with the default game settings).

Storage

Strewn straw can pile up to 64 and can be carried in the player's inventory, stored in stationary containers , or stacked on solid surfaces on the world.
